La Hacienda Links Golf Resort reaffirms its commitment to women’s golf by celebrating Women‘sGolf Day, an event that brought together players and golf enthusiasts from different corners of Europe. This event, full of style, diversity and organisational excellence, is positioned as an international reference in the promotion of women’s sport from one of the most privileged enclaves on the Costa del Sol.
As part of Women’s Golf Day 2023, La Hacienda Links hosted an international event that attracted around 50 women from countries such as France, Germany, England and Spain. The meeting took place on the resort’s renovated driving range, as part of a week of celebrations that ran from May 30 to June 6.
The activity was open to both golfers and non-golfers, all of them dressed in white, as is tradition on this day, and presented with a red cap, a symbol of the international women’s golf movement. This gesture reinforces the resort’s identity as a host of women’s golf events and international golf events with an inclusive and festive character.
Activities, prizes and fun for all participants
The event combined sports, gastronomy and entertainment in an environment designed to enjoy and share. The attendees participated in a range of golf activities for women, organised by golf professional Víctor García and his team, which were aimed at all levels of experience.
After the activities, drinks, cocktails and tapas were offered at the Sal Verde restaurant located in the clubhouse, completing an unforgettable day. Prizes were awarded to the day’s winners, and the celebration was soundtracked by a live DJ, bringing rhythm and style to an evening thought out in detail.
A key year for women’s golf on the Costa del Sol
2023 was a decisive year for the growth of women’s golf in Andalusia, driven in part by major competitions and increased international visibility. The Costa del Sol, now a well-established golf destination, joins strongly the development of this discipline among women, promoting equality and sport at all levels.

At the end of April of the same year, La Hacienda Links Golf Resort hosted a special celebration to mark the visit of the 2023 Solheim Cup trophy, which that year would take place at Finca Cortesín, a milestone for women’s golf in Spain.
