With a design that demands a combination of technique and strategy, Dave Thomas created a course at <strong>La Hacienda Golf<\/strong> that forces the player to fully focus on the game. The fairways extend between hills, the greens rise like platforms, and each hole is designed to make you think, suggests Althoff. If you let yourself get distracted, the course will make you pay.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The German journalist particularly highlights the middle stretch, with holes as beautiful as they are challenging, where the landscape and design come together to offer a playing experience that goes beyond technique &#8211; a course that rivals the best golf courses in Germany.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-7e79f631\">\r\n<h3 class=\"uagb-heading-text\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Kilometers_of_Strategy_Not_Distance\"><\/span><strong>Kilometers of Strategy, Not Distance<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Heathland stretches between 5,272 and 6,373 meters, but what really makes it seem longer is its uneven terrain and blind tees. Althoff points to <a href=\"https:\/\/lahaciendagolf.com\/en\/golf\/heathland-course\/heathland-course-hole-by-hole\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the second as an example<\/a>, a par 5 that begins with a blind tee shot and requires precision and concentration on the second shot. Another example is the fourth, which demands more calculation than courage.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The course also features <strong>doglegs and rough <\/strong>areas that test even the most experienced golfers, as Michael Althoff describes in his article sharing his experience at the <strong>Heathland Course<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-fd95e2ed\">\r\n<h3 class=\"uagb-heading-text\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Challenging_for_All_Skill_Levels\"><\/span><strong>Challenging for All Skill Levels<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Golf and Travel <\/em>concludes its article by mentioning that the <strong>Heathland course<\/strong> features two challenging holes. The 17th is a long, uphill, headwind-driven par 4, where bunkers on the right complicate the second shot.
