the Gasol Foundation Golf Invitational, held simultaneously at our two championship golf courses,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lahaciendagolf.com\/en\/golf\/links-course\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Links<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/lahaciendagolf.com\/en\/golf\/heathland-course\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Heathland<\/a><\/strong>. Among the participants were a host of household sporting names including 22-time Grand Slam tennis champion<strong>\u00a0Rafa Nadal, \u00c1lvaro Morata, Rudy Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>, chef and social activist<strong>\u00a0Jos\u00e9 Andr\u00e9s<\/strong>, as well as renowned professional golfers such as\u00a0<strong>\u00c1lvaro Quir\u00f3s, Adri Arnaus, \u00c1ngel Hidalgo, Andrea Revuelta<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Paula Mart\u00edn<\/strong>, recent winner of the Women\u2019s Amateur Championship 2025.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Together they formed\u00a0<strong>mixed teams\u00a0<\/strong>that combined experience, talent and youth, on a day marked by camaraderie, passion for golf and social commitment. The competition, played simultaneously on the\u00a0<strong>Links and Heathland courses<\/strong>, offered a spectacle of golf that all participants enjoyed.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The stellar match that brought together\u00a0<strong>Pau Gasol, Rafa Nadal<\/strong>\u00a0and up-and-coming ladies\u2019 golf stars,\u00a0<strong>Andrea Revuelta and Paula Mart\u00edn<\/strong>, became the perfect reflection of the soul of the tournament: sporting excellence, intergenerational inclusion and active solidarity.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMy passion for golf started because it was the only sport I could play without the risk of injury. But I discovered that it has something unique: we can play together, even if we have very different levels. Both 18-hole courses, perfectly equipped to accommodate top-level athletes, became the\u00a0<strong>ideal setting for a day of golf with a solidarity purpose<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The competition began with a\u00a0<strong>very special start<\/strong>, with the team of Gasol and Nadal hitting from a\u00a0<strong>historic Second World War bunker preserved on the course<\/strong>, which was set up as a symbolic tee for the occasion. A gesture full of meaning that united sport at the service of a charitable cause.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From the early hours of the day, the activity unfolded in parallel on our two golf courses located on the\u00a0<strong>Costa del Sol<\/strong>, welcoming teams made up of sports celebrities, professional golfers, collaborators and entrepreneurs, all united by a common goal: to\u00a0<strong>improve the health and well-being of the most vulnerable children\u00a0<\/strong>through the work of the\u00a0<strong>Gasol Foundation<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe have set the bar very high for a first edition. The evening included a c<strong>harity auction in which the extraordinary figure of \u20ac116,000 was raised<\/strong>, funds that will go entirely to the\u00a0<strong>children\u2019s health programmes promoted by the Gasol Foundation<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among the most desired items were unique pieces of great symbolic and emotional value: an\u00a0<strong>official Lakers jersey signed by Pau Gasol, a Carlos Alcaraz racket, a Marc M\u00e1rquez competition helmet<\/strong>, as well as exclusive experiences such as a dinner for two people at the iconic El Celler de Can Roca restaurant, with three Michelin stars.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The bid also included\u00a0jerseys autographed by <strong>sports legends <\/strong>such as Rafa Nadal, Luka Don\u010di\u0107, Carlos Sainz, Fernando Alonso\u00a0and the FC Barcelona women\u2019s team, as well as club bags used by\u00a0<strong>elite golfers like \u00c1lvaro Quir\u00f3s, Adri Arnaus, \u00c1ngel Ayora or Paula Mart\u00edn<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This gala was a demonstration that sport, culture and solidarity can come together to make a real impact on the lives of thousands of children.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tournament_and_prize_winners\"><\/span><strong>Tournament and prize winners<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first edition of the\u00a0<strong>Gasol Foundation Golf Invitational<\/strong>\u00a0crowned the team formed by\u00a0\u00c1ngel Hidalgo, C\u00e9sar Penalva, Pablo Masilla and Juan Delgado, who signed a brilliant performance on the<strong>\u00a0Links and Heathland<\/strong>\u00a0courses. In second position, the quartet made up of\u00a0<strong>Pau Gasol<\/strong>\u00a0himself, the young promise\u00a0<strong>Andrea Revuelta<\/strong>, the professional\u00a0<strong>Adri Arnaus<\/strong>\u00a0and the basketball player\u00a0<strong>Rudy Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>, showed a great level of rapport and competitiveness. Third place went to the solid team composed of\u00a0\u00c1lvaro Quir\u00f3s, Luis Milla, Juanma Morales and Manuel Escribano.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\u00a0<strong>emotional awards ceremony<\/strong>, held at the resort\u2019s facilities, was presided over by the\u00a0<strong>Minister of Culture and Sport of the Junta de Andaluc\u00eda, Patricia del Pozo<\/strong>, who was accompanied by other regional authorities.
